1st time...is there somplace or wonderful village we must see?

Thanks

Mike

What is it exactly you want to know re Nice? It is a big city, but you can explore the old part of the city.If you are thinking about a village I would suggest going to St.Paul de Vence which sits some miles from Nice up on the hill...an old walled city that is quite fun to explore.Lots of shops and some good places to eat.You can get there by taxi or local bus. there has been quite a few posts on STP so check back on the board by doing a search of it and/or Nice as well.

Depends what you like and how long you've got, Mike.

Nice itself has a great street market with fish restaurants, or you could sip tea overlooking the bay at the Negresco Hotel. A train will take you to lovely ports including Villefranche and Antibes. I caught the bus up to St Paul de Vance and loved it.

There are several great museums if you like art, or you could try your luck at the casino in Monaco.

Hope you have a good break. :)

I "third" the vote for St.Paul-de-Vence...absolutely one of my favourite villages. We rented a car for the day with another couple from our cruise and enjoyed the freedom of being able to go where you wanted, when you wanted. That way we covered Monaco(not a favourite of mine),Eze...fabulous,St.P.de V. and Nice.

Nice has a tour bus that would give you a great overview of the city.

If you saw nothing else,St.PdeV would be the place to see.My pictures from there are wonderful !!

Enjoy,

Sharon
