SxyEbnyFem Posted May 21, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 21, 2004 Hey ya'll. When a ship is in port, are there any onboard activities still going on? Are things such as the shops, spa, gym, lounges, etc. still open? Do most ppl get off at ports or are there some still onboard? Thanks in advance for your input. Happy sailing, T. until my very FIRST cruise Days til Valor Vampires Cruise
Megandie Posted May 21, 2004 #2 Share Posted May 21, 2004 Shops and casino are closed in port..unless the cruiseline has an agreement with the port country. Such as when the Fantasy is in Nassau for 24 hours the casino is open at 7pm in the evening while in port. There are bars that are open and there are other activities that go on while in port as well. Sail Time!!!
selucrey Posted May 21, 2004 #3 Share Posted May 21, 2004 Surprisingly, there are a number of people that don't get off the ship at ports. If you choose to stay onboard you are assured of getting a deck chair, you can enjoy some quiet time, rest up for the nighttime activities, and my favorite:watch those that have had a little too much to drink coming back onboard.(I've been on both sides of the fence on this one. Let's see what we can stir up! SINSATION 10/23/04 CONQUEST 10/19/03 INSPIRATION 10/21/
