Favorite RCI Cruise Ship and Why

Recommended Posts

Hello Everyone,

What is everyone's favorite Royal Caribbean ship and why? Although I have only been on two cruises (Carnival's Jubilee and Explorer of the Seas) I have to say that the Explorer of the Seas just blew me out of the water (pun intended :p ). It was extremely well decorated, clean and easy to navigate. I can't imagine a RCI ship that could be any better, but if your opinion is different, I'll be more than happy to hear your responses! Happy Cruising!

As much as I am looking forward to Freedom of the Seas, I have a feeling it will cement my love of the Radiance class even further. Try to find a bad review of Radiance of the Seas. They are few and far between. Most people come away totally in love with that ship!

For us, Sovereign of the Seas, we've been on her twice, same itinerary, almost the same weekend, only 3 years apart. Only the 3 night cruise, but next time will be the 4 nighter, then on to bigger and better things, like tha Mariner of the Seas.

Adventure of the Seas...sailed her twice. Have complete both routes and we had a BLAST both times. I have been on every Voyager Class except Mariner and Adventure takes the award. I must admit, though, the Radiance Class ships are great.

We vote for Mariner of the Seas! We have sailed on Celebrity Millenium, RCCL Voyager , Adventure and Jewel of the Seas and enjoyed them all but there was something special about the Mariner. A beautiful ship with a great crew. Looking forward to cruising her again!

We love the Voyager class ships!! We just completed our 19th RCCL cruise. We are not Radiance class fans. Our favorite ship is the Adventure--the Hotel Director Robert Taggart is incredible and also Captain Remo.

At first it was Sovereign, when she was Queen of the Seas (way back when:)). Next was Voyager, a massive ship and a fine ship. Next up will be Radiance...I have a sneaking suspicion her class will be our favourite.

Our favorite ship is the Adventure followed closely by the Serenade. We really love the Adventure for the itinerary and the sea days. The Serenade is smaller but also beautiful ship and that itinerary is also wonderful. We like sea days so that is why we prefer the Adventure's main route the best. Not to mention how much we like the crew, but that is on both ships!

We've been on Enchanment, Voyager & Empress. We are going on Explorer in June. I love the Voyager class ships the most. Love the parades and the Ice Shows. Always something to go on board. The truth is no matter what ship I am on at the time will be fine with me.

As of right now my favorite ship is Voyager. Been on it twice and loved it.

DH/I celebrated our 10th anniversary on Voyager and renewed our vows on the ship. Between the new friends we met via thread on CC, the service, food, activities, etc. was fantastic. This was one of the best cruises we ever went on. Everything was perfect!

We loved the Voyager ship so much we booked Explorer for a B2B in Sept. this year and can't wait.

Every RCI ship we've been on we loved for one reason or another but Voyager was awesome!

I've only been on one RCCI ship - the Legend and wasn't too thrilled with it. The bathrooms were terrible, the food was really lousy and the entertainment was so-so. I've been on NCL's Spirt twice and loved it. The bathrooms were unbelievably beautiful - beautifully tiled. The entertainment was great and the casinos paid off big-time. I won $5,000 at the slots on one cruise and $1,000 on the second cruise. According to Slots Magazine, NCL ship's slots pay off the best. Now, I'm going to be sailing on the Serenade of the Seats this July to Alaska. I don't expect to be that lucky at their casino.

Hello Everyone,

I wasn't that crazy for either of the two Carnival ships I've sailed on (and that despite having won a Category 12 Verandah Suite for the second one) With my RCI experience limited to two sailings on the Explorer so far, I guess it wins hands down as my all-time favorite:rolleyes:! Honestly, I just loved the Explorer for all the reasons you stated plus the great public spaces and friendly staff service.

Having said that, I've read so much about the Serenade as I do my research for our next cruise. After looking at the decor, the dining options, and the sea day sailing the captain provides us through Monserrat, Nevis, the Pitons, etc...I'm wondering if it just might become my 'new favorite ship'.

Could it be then that one's last ship becomes their favorite ship? I'll have to get back to you on that:)

Well, my favorite SHIP was probably Voyager....because it was my first Voyager class ship and I love them :) :)

However, my favorite CRUISE was the 10 day Caribbean/Bermuda that I did out of Boston.... 1 hour drive to the port, no hassle of flights, great itinerary, great ship, and 10 DAYS!!!!!!
