Website not showing private (mariner) rates

The HAL website is not showing Mariner Rates again.  This happened about a month ago and then it was fixed for a few weeks and now it's not.  The last time it happened they told me that the Mariner Rate should show instead of the Best Price if you entered your mariner number.   Why can't they fix this simple issue?

No kidding.  My mariner rates were hidden for the longest time but they are showing.  I haven't looked for a few days though.

How do you know that you are not seeing the Mariner rate?  I do a test booking and see a fare and if I am logged in as a Mariner, I assume that is the Mariner fare.  Help me understand how to know that maybe I am not seeing the best fare.  Are you cross checking against another site?

Exactly.  It’s not a matter of misunderstanding.  It’s clear as day.

Actually it’s not “clear as day”. If it said “Mariner fare” that would be clear as day. “private fare” could be a casino fare as well. I’ve wondered myself as my PCC has told me I can use my mariner rate for a 2nd room but not my casino rate. I’m assuming if it says private fare it’s whichever is lower.

Well it's clear as day as far as I'm concerned.  Hal doesn't give me free cruises or casino rates so I can only speak to what I've seen.  I can't speak to what other people have seen.  The subject is about not being able to see private fares.  If you can see them to me it doesn't matter what type they are.  YMMV.

The terms, Special Fare, Restricted Fare, Flexible Fare, and Best Price Fare may also be used so yes there is a certain amount of ambiguity.

In my experience if best fare and have it all are the only fares list then there is no “special” pricing on that cruise.  That has been my experience. My point is you shouldn’t have to click all the way to purchasing and putting your credit card in.  At least I don’t have to to see if I have “special” pricing.
