How strict are they on checkin times

Just did web-check in for our cruise this Friday out of Rome and i see our check in time is from 10am to 11am, we won't make that and it will be after 1pm before we get to the port. I don't think i seen a check in time pre-covid but maybe it was there, we usually just arrived after midday without issue.

You always can be late as long as you arrive two hours before departure. If you cannot make the 2 hours, call them! 

 

Pre Covid there were indeed stricter rules but for coming early. Especially in Genoa where sometimes you had to wait HOURS if you showed up at 10 and your time was in the afternoon. Civita usually is much more relaxed.

Correct, you can always be LATER than your assigned time.  Last week at Port Canaveral they were checking the times when people arrived.  Not stopping them, per se, but checking them.
