Independent Tour Guides - Freeport and Nassau

I will be in Freeport and Nassau next November and want to take a taxi with a driver who can give us a nice 3-4 hour tour. When we were in St. Lucia specific guides were recommended on CC (Frank, Cosol) and I could visit their websites to get information about their tours, prices, etc. They were much more reasonalbe than the ship's tour and we enjoyed the personal touch. I don't see any specific names mentioned for the Bahamas. Can anyone recommend a good guide? The tour companies I have seen cost as much as a ship's tour but I'm not sure I just want to grab a taxi and take pot luck.
