Picking friends up at Portsmouth cruise terminal. Help please!

We are picking friends up on Tuesday morning and spending the day with them, driving to Winchester and lunching with them. Has anyone got recommendations on where to pick them up at the terminal? They have told us that they will be bussed to the terminal and we can see on Google maps that there are some 20 minute parking bays nearby. We aim to try to see them there and make a quick exit within the 20 minutes. Has anyone done this, or anything similar and can advise us? Thank you in advance.

Assuming that your friends have mobile phones. the simplest thing would be to park away from the terminal until you know they have debarked. Then use the collect/drop-off point at the terminal.

 

The Ship and Castle pub, next to the huge yellow "Self Storage" building, has some parking spaces.

Good advice - there are very few short-term bays at the terminal

Thanks for your help. Our friends were outside the terminal building when we arrived so it was easy!
