Triumphant Return

I have a question. We are flying into Ft. Lauderdale also. What about shuttle service from Ft. Lauderdale to Port of Miami and back. Any good suggestions on lowest price fare?

Hello folks first thank you to everyone who posts - this was the best trip I have ever taken - so many great suggestions and we are thankful - here you go - - dh and I (both in mid 40's) went - this was our 4th cruise - all Carnival - Embarkation - arrived at port at 12:30 - on board at 1:00 - how great was that!! was on Aft balcony - 7427 - perfect spot - asked room steward for a deck chair - he checked with manager - after dinner it was there - too perfect - arrived in San Juan on time - not much to do at night outside of excursions except casino and duty free - there are casinos in Detroit and a duty free at the Canadian border - ate dinner on ship then walked around the town for a bit = went to Hard Rock for merchandise - then spent time at Senior Frogs - way too much fun. St. Thomas - toured with the fablous Sonny Liston - shopping - sight seeing- sapphire beach - what a blast - St. Martin - skipped the water taxi and walked the short distance to town for shopping - took a cab to Maho Beach (sp?) watched the planes - what a rush - fun days at sea were spent on the deck and exploring the ship. Food was great - one night they put up a screen and we watched Mr. and Mrs. Smith under the stars - that was pretty fun - the week flew by - Debarkation - left our room at 7:45am were off the ship by 8:30. We have relatives in Florida so we did not use Carnivals transfers. Spent a delightful day in Miami at Bayside - took the boat tour checking out the homes - bonus - Shaq was outside playing with his children - smiling for the cameras. Please feel free to ask if you have any questions. Oh yeah - PCD really bad - called Carnival this morning heading south next year - let the new countdown begin YEAH!

There's been a few complainers lately about the food at the buffets. What did you think about the food on the lido deck, breadfast buffet and the dining room?

I was on the Truimph for the millenium cruise. They did not have the supper clubs then. Does the Triumph have the "supper club" now?

What did you think of the general condition of the ship?

How were the shows in the main lounge?

Thanks in advance for your responses, we are going the end of April (Eastern) and the time can not move fast enough.

Kevin from Mpls.

Was the aft cabin balcony deeper that a side balcony? Also was it shaded at all. We love aft balconies, but have not had any on this class of ship. We have an L-shaped cabin booked but would love to switch to an aft if it opens up.

Hi, Michiganirish, how was the Lido Deck Band during the day? I always enjoye some fun Reggae, Calypso music while sunning myself out on the Lido Deck. Also, do you know the name of the Lido Deck Band?

11 days till I cruise

Any Information would be great.

Thank You
