Room Allocation

Recommended Posts

Hi!

We are due to go on Splendour in August and I have booked an outside stateroom that is halfway down the deck, has one room on one side and a short corridor on another (room 2066). I am now getting suspicious as these types of rooms seem to be remaining vacant. The room is opposite the lifts and stairs so I am now wondering if these rooms are very nosiy or something. If anyone has an advice could they let me know-I still have time to change the room.

Many thanks!

My experience is that the cabins are pretty good soundproof. Being near the stairs and elevators won´t scare me. I like the convenient location.

What might be a problem is the hallway next to your cabin. I´m not sure but looking at the deck plan I think this might be the location of the gangway at some ports.

Of course you never know what ports need the gangway located on deck two and what ports the gangway is located on your side of the ship. So it might be not relevant.

But if the gangway is located next to your cabin it might get loud early in the morning with the crew setting up all the stuff for the pople embarking and disembarking. Also the area can get very crowded when everybody wants to disembark or gets back from shore.
