Snorkel equipment rental?

On one of our previous cruises we were able to "rent" snorkel equipment from the cruise ship for the week. Is this a possibility on Royal Caribbean? Hubby and I would like to snorkel (on our own) as much as possible on our upcoming cruise and our luggage space is going to be limited. I prefer not to have to bring some all the way from Ohio to the southern caribbean. Whatta ya think?

We were on the Jewel in September, no equipment. I prefer my own, at least the snorkel and mask. Depending where you go fins are not a necesity. The force fins are very small and compact, perfect for travel, but you will pay for them.
