LEMJMcC Posted November 15, 2022 #1 Share Posted November 15, 2022 Sailing Wonder of the Seas, we arrive in St. Thomas (Crown Bay, I think) at 7:30 AM on 2/9/2023 and depart at 3:00 PM. We'd like to do some snorkeling and some sightseeing. We've never been to either island. Are there any snorkeling excursions out of St. Thomas that would allow us to snorkel off St. John and still have time to get back to Charlotte Amalie for some walking around? Who would you recommend? Or should we just confine our excursion(s) to St. Thomas for time's sake? Thanks.
Ms411 Posted November 15, 2022 #2 Share Posted November 15, 2022 You could go to St John on your own by using public taxi and ferry, and taxi to Trunk Bay for snorkeling. That would be your best option if you're early risers since your ship comes in early. If you snorkel at Sapphire or Coki on St Thomas, you'll have a bit of time to walk around the town of Charlotte Amalie before heading back to the ship. Duanerice1 Posted November 19, 2022 #3 Share Posted November 19, 2022 We had OBC to burn so took the ship excursion to St John. Don;t forget when you get there you still need to take a taxi to the beaches and back so it uses up time. I've never had good snorkeling on St Thomas and won't bother again. St John is another story but it's pretty much a full day adventure
