Day in Motril- private tours?

We will be in port of Montril  in April looking at different tours 

can someone tell me how far is drive to Granada/ Alhambra if we were do to a tour? 
dont want to be in bus or van for long drive. Anyone done this tour? 

any other suggestions for activites in Day in Motril would be appreciated.

The Alhambra is 43 miles / 50 minutes from your port at Motril (nb Motril, not Montril)

Tickets for the Alhambra sell-out, sometimes months ahead, so you need to fix your tickets with, or ahead of, your transport.

It's on the southern outskirts of Granada  very convenient from Motril, and the drive is quick, easy and scenic.

 

About 30 minutes west of Motril is Nerja, known for its caves. The coastal road is more scenic than the autovia.

I don't know the coast to the east, but it's a mix of vacation resort towns and covered market-gardens.

There's probably scenic motoring in the Sierra Nevada,

We were in Motril, and I found a group tour that take us to the Alhambra from Motril.  However, I don't remember what tour company it was.  Maybe you can google.
