carlini Posted November 23, 2022 #1 Share Posted November 23, 2022 This cruise was chosen due to the itinerary particularly the Newfoundland calls. Thru no fault of the cruise line our schedule was changed in a major way hence we had paid a lot of money for what ended up being a very poor cruise. There were many aspects of the cruise that were disappointing and there was an overall feeling that cost cutting measures were in place. The internet quality was very poor and the selection of television stations was totally unsatisfactory. As a goodwill gesture a future cruise credit of 20% of the value of what we paid has been offered but it is so restrictive as to its use that it is of no value. Communications with Seabourn have failed to modify their position on this and our last communication still remains unanswered. Having left the ship both ourselves and other passengers ended up with Covid most likely contracted on the ship?
skybluewaters Posted November 23, 2022 #2 Share Posted November 23, 2022 Sorry that you had an unsatisfactory cruise and also that you contracted Covid. Hopefully, you have made a full recovery. I agree that the selection of television stations is poor. Regarding the internet quality, did you have the basic service or the higher-grade streaming service? Could you elaborate on the "many aspects of the cruise that were disappointing" and on the cost-cutting measures you noticed. Thank you.
Cantara24 Posted November 23, 2022 #3 Share Posted November 23, 2022 Carlini, it is always a disappointment when the weather gods decide our itinerary, as you understand, it happens. Following - for your response to skybluewaters on your perspective, good and bad. We to would appreciate it.
Point Pelee Girl Posted November 27, 2022 #4 Share Posted November 27, 2022 We were on this cruise as well and received the 20% Future Cruise Credit. We live in Canada and our travel agent called Seabourn and had this credit applied to one of our cruises already booked for 2023. We know of another passenger who lives in England and received the same consideration. If you are in the same situation, do try again. Best of luck!
