Hi

First time cruiser here. I have heard there are 'dress up' theme nights - do I need to pack special gear? How do I find out what the themes are?

Also anyone who has used the babysitting service on teh Pacific Sky - can you tell me how it works?

Thanks!:)

Standard theme nights are, Rock and Roll (Retro on Star), Superhero/fancy dress, Country and Western. They also have 2 parties which are pyjama night and island night. I believe I read that island night is now oriental night on the Sky because of it's itinerary.

I haven't used the babysitting service but this is what I understand. Kid's club is free till 10pm and then it is pay per hour until 1am. It is $5 per hour per child and I think a discount for subsequent children in the one family. It is not private babysitting in your cabin it is still in Kids club.

Hi all,

I was rather disappointed because I packed for Retro and Country & Western night... but there was no Retro and the Country/Western was the Bangkok night where most were in Bangkok (and I was, so didn't get to use that, either). There was Island Night and also a pajama party one late night. Two formals and the rest were Smart Casual. Also, you can just do smart casual on any theme night you don't want to dress up.

Have fun!

Sarah
