slavens_09 Posted December 1, 2022 #1 Share Posted December 1, 2022 Is it possible to pre-ay your gratuities after you have checked in for your sailing? Thanks

groundloop Posted December 1, 2022 #4 Share Posted December 1, 2022 Yes. HOWEVER, there's really no need to pre-pay gratuities, they will be automatically charged to your Sail and Sign account on the next to last day of the cruise. I can understand why some folks might want to pre-pay this so they don't have to worry about it, but I just always know ahead of time how much I'll be charged for gratuities and keep an eye on my account. Pyxie Posted December 1, 2022 #6 Share Posted December 1, 2022 Yes. We've prepaid the day we left for the cruise. While that may not make sense to some people, I prefer to pay my gratuities outright and not on my credit card which I use for my onboard account. Rare PrincessArlena'sDad Posted December 1, 2022 #7 Share Posted December 1, 2022 If you have gift cards to use, using them to prepay grats would probably make things simpler, as you'd have less cards to add to your account once onboard.

Great idea, I am going to do that now. Thanks!
garycarla Posted December 5, 2022 #9 Share Posted December 5, 2022 I don't get why it matters if you pay on day 1 or the last day.????
Anyislandwilldo Posted December 5, 2022 #10 Share Posted December 5, 2022 Prepay on your cruise manager. Less to worry about when you board the ship.
arsenic74 Posted December 16, 2022 #11 Share Posted December 16, 2022 You can't prepay gratuities using OBC though, correct? I was just trying to see if that was possible, and there didn't seem to be a payment option for it.

It makes no sense to me, but it appears to be the rule.

It doesn’t make a difference. They will automatically bill your folio during the cruise, if you haven’t prepaid.
