Amsterdam Hotel

We are staying a few nights in Amsterdam in May after a cruise. Have rooms booked at both the Holiday Inn express city hall and the Hampton Inn Centre East. Does anyone have an opinion on which would be better? Prices are similar. THANKS!

The Holiday Inn hotel is in a better location, but it is located on a very busy street. If possible, ask for rooms on the back side, you will overlook a quiet body of water. From the hotel, it is easy to walk into the old center.

From the Hampton Inn you either have to take a bike or tram 26 (tram stop is 2 minutes walking) to get to the city center.
