ETA clarifications please

So we are US citizens cruising from Sydney to NZ in January. We applied (and were granted) an NZeTA but I am second guessing myself now. Is this adequate for NZ? At the bottom of our sheet it says the “NZeTA is not a visa and does not guarantee entry into NZ.” …….”If you are a cruise ship passenger you will be deemed to hold a visitor visa for up to 28 days when you arrive at your first NZ port”.  Do we need to apply for a visitor visa or does this mean that they accept the NZeTA in lieu of a visa?

Also, applied for the Australian ETA-subclass 601. Is this the correct one?

Probably reading too much into these, but don’t want to get left behind for a silly error.

Thanks to anyone that can help.
