Kids under 13 and App Onboard

My two boys have been on many cruises with us, but this is the first time they will have their own phones.  I know there have been mixed reviews of the chatting feature of the Celebrity App - but we were hoping to be able to use that to communicate with them when we are around the ship.

 

The minimum age for setting up a Celebrity account is 13.  Is there any way they will be able to use the app onboard?  Alternative is to get Internet for all of us (we're not AI) and use WhatsApp - but would like to avoid that if possible.

Just have them fudge the age when they download the app, no one checks

I wasn't sure if to use it onboard, it needed to be associated with our account in some way - if so, Celebrity obviously already knows their ages.
