weather in freeport in jan/feb

We are planning a cruise in the last week of January or the first week in February. Do you know what the weather is like? My kids are wanting to swim on the beach and was not sure if it would be too cold. Is the water nice or chilly? Thanks for your time.

oh my gosh is it ever chilly! we did the dolphin encounter and wore their wetsuit and kept our wetsuits on as well.

On the beach,When we were there it was only around 72. and it gets cold quick. My children did splash around in the water, but numb feet soon sent them back. They were in shorts and t shirt but were happy i brought sweat shirts along! The wind made it even colder!
