smiths cove??

My family & I are traveling to grand cayman, via cruise line, in aug. We would like to go to a beach for relaxation & snorkle. Don't like large crowds. Smiths Cove appears to look positive. Any recommendations and/or reviews of smiths cove?:confused: :confused:

 

Also, is shopping near-by port?:confused:

Second question first... there is a lot of shopping near the port right in the harbour at Georgetown.

 

Smith Cove is a lovely quiet spot for relaxing. It is south of Georgetown, but has limited facilities nearby. There are restrooms, but that's about all. It is a popular picnic spot for island residents.
