salen12 Posted March 7, 2006 #1 Share Posted March 7, 2006 Hi there I have been reading all the posts and am very excited about our cruise - western tropics 29 april - the very last P&O cruise for the Pacific Sky (assuming she makes it!), myself, DH, and 2 children - our first cruise and the kids' first time ever on a plane and travel OS so excitement factor is HUGE :D People seem to know aready what cabin they have and what sitting for dinner - when do you get this information? I know nothing! Are the plugs on the ships australian or do we need to take an adaptor? Loved the packing list someone else posted - especially the tips to bring aqua shoes, hand gel, and powerboard - any other MUST TAKES people recommend? Thanks salen12:D
cruiselover96 Posted March 7, 2006 #2 Share Posted March 7, 2006 Hi salen and welcome. You'll get lots of info from this board. Get onto the P&O site and click on the 'cruise personalizer' follow the promps then a smaller box comes up, enter you name and booking no. You will need to get your booking no. from the TA. Enter all details for everyone then when completed it will come up with your cabin, dinner etc. info. They're Aussie plugs. Anything else you need to know, just ask. cruiselover96 Posted March 7, 2006 #4 Share Posted March 7, 2006 Also salen take toilet paper(wipes) as some of the toilet facilities are not modern...... Kerri
aussie_dancer Posted March 7, 2006 #5 Share Posted March 7, 2006 i dont think it is wise to take your own toilet paper, the ships run on a suction based system that then does all sorts of wierd and wonderful stuff before it is safe to pump all the waste into the ocean. as far as i am aware, i dont think that the toilets are able to breakdown normal toilet paper, the paper they have onboard is special marine friendly paper. cruiselover96 Posted March 7, 2006 #6 Share Posted March 7, 2006 Hi Ryzy, the toilet paper was for the tours, not to use on the boat. lol lol
aussiedisneyfan Posted March 7, 2006 #7 Share Posted March 7, 2006 I was laughing at your original post cruiselover96, realizing what you meant but reading that you need it for the ship. I didn't "go" all day when we once did a tour in Indonesia.
