Recent Bliss aft cruisers; is soot still a problem?

Have read in the past of issues from the bliss smokestack/ scrubbers covering spice h20 and aft balconies in soot. Is this still a problem? Specifically looking for info on pc crossing. Not sure if the itinerary matters but seem to recall this being reported more widely on pc cruises.Have sailed bliss before (mex riv Dec 22) and didn’t notice (at spice anyway). Input appreciated, thanks!

It's one of those things that can't be predicted. Weather conditions, rate of travel, ship's direction, etc. all play a role. It isn't something that deters me from booking an aft-facing balcony stateroom.

Not Bliss, but sister ship Joy.  We had a ten day in an aft balcony in October and never saw a hint of soot.

It's only an issue if Santa is on the balcony above you for his post-Christmas cruise and is still smoking that damnable pipe and cleaning his soiled suit/boots. 🎅🚭
