We have a group of 10 adults that after disembarkation we are staying at a hotel near LAX.  What have you done with a large group? Would it be better to take the Carnival Bus to LAX then take the free shuttle to the hotel? Or would it be cheaper to take a taxi/van 1 or 2 or other ride service to the hotel? Do the taxi's charge per person there?

"Better" is a judgment call. 10 fares of the Carnival Bus is probably not cheaper than anything.

You might find a shuttle company that has vans that can handle 10 people plus luggage and take you directly to your hotel, instead of schlepping luggage off the Carnival Bus, onto a hotel shuttle.

Check Zippy, Karmel, Mickey's Space Ship Shuttle, Lansky Transportation and maybe ExecuCar (which I have not used since the SuperShuttle bamkruptcy).

Four of us just Ubered from Long Beach Port to LAX...the total cost was $68.  Divided by four, that is FAR cheaper than the $36 pp charged by Carnival. We used Uber XL, which could accommodate the four of us plus all of our luggage. With ten of you, you'd need 2 Uber XLs and one regular, and it would still be cheaper than Carnival transportation.  Another nice thing...we didn't have to wait for the shuttle to fill up.  Our Uber driver was there within 5 minutes of contact.
