Explorer and UDP

Recommended Posts

We are on Explorer tomorrow and have the 7 day UDP. I forgot that this class ship has so few specialty restaurants compared to the bigger ships. I just saw that we are assigned Chefs table for first night.  We have never eaten there b/c of the upcharge with the UDP. Does Explorer have the same upcharge as other ships?

Not sure at Chef’s Table but please write back.

I do UDP every cruise including ships with few specialty restaurants.  We always find big enough menus to cover us well for 8-12 days, including sea day lunches!

Will do, as I will know tomorrow night!

On Explorer now and next week. Can not imagine paying for UDP. MDR service and food was a B+. Windjammer lunch and bkfst was very good... crowded but very good. We ate 1 night at Chops and 2 at Giovanni’s. Way too much food!

But to answer your question, go to Chops when you board and pick lunch and dinner times at all restaurants for the 8 days. Then change them anytime you like. Night one is not a real reservation.
