Veteran Kaui tourists, need your opinion please.

We are a group of 4 arriving in Nawiliwili at 8am and departing at 5pm. I have rented a car and plan to be on the road by 9:30 to drive to Waimea Canyon and Kokee state park/ then return back to port.  Does this sound doable?

It's doable, but it depends on how much you intend to do in each place. I'd head back to the airport (assuming that is where you return the car to) no later than 2:30PM, maybe even sooner. If the ships sails at 5PM, they like you on board before, not getting dropped off at 5PM.

Thank you! That is exactly what I have planned------   head back around 2.
