Hop on Hop off

Wondering if we need to purchase tickets for the hop on hop off bus in Genoa ahead of time or is there a place to purchase tickets at the pier.  I asked on the Italian port boards but never got an answer.

We bought them on the bus itself. (That was in 2019)

We were just in Genoa and saw the bus, but didn't take it. I believe you can buy tickets on the bus itself. There were also folks advertising the bus right outside the terminal who were selling tickets as well.
