Seeking Blue Chip Club advice when adding 3rd & 4th persons

I get free Concierge Class and sometimes Aqua Class from Blue Chip Club. However, when I add my kids to the stateroom, the cruise fare increases significantly! For instance, I was quoted $4349 for 7-nights Alaska on Solstice Concierge sailing 6/30/2023 for 4 of us. Considering I only pays the port fee and taxes if it only for me and my wife, which is round $530, I think the big jump is hard to swallow....

I am wondering if you have any tips or suggestions on how to cut the added costs when adding my kids to the reservation.

I have also posted the same question on the "Cruise Casino" board and look forward to getting some feedbacks.

Thanks a lot,

Book yourself and one kid in the room you prefer...then your wife and other child (ages?) in a nearby inside stateroom. And look at a discount website for the rate, not necessarily Celebrity's direct website and definitely not BCC.  I looked and could find an inside stateroom for around $2k for that ship/date with no perks.  Of course, this works better if your kids are old enough to do some self-supervision. When on the ship, you go to guest services and get extra keys for each room. Sleep arrangements as you please.

You can also check with BCC to see if your wife has any offers then use the previous posters suggestion booking two cabins with one child in each. I believe BCC also offers a 10% discount for “Friends and Family” so that might be an option to save you some $$ as well.

Honestly, whenever you call Blue Chip you will get a different answer depending on who you talk to. We recently sailed on the Apex with our Blue Chip offers. The original email came under my husbands name. Called blue chip just to get more information since we never had acted on one of their offers. First person we talked to said up to 4 people in the cabin, no problem! Took some time to think and then called back to book. This time was told no, only 2 people in a cabin for offer, after 2 the others pay going rate. Which was crazy expensive. Called again to see if I had an offer since my husband had one. Was told yes. Then told no. Finally was able to book on the Apex for our family of five. Two rooms. One under my husband with 2 people and then one under my name with 3 people. The third did not have to pay anything over port charges and taxes. Oh, and the cruise that we originally wanted to book was not available any longer but she was able to pull up several sailings which were not even on our original offer. The cruise that we took was a Christmas cruise not even listed. Absolutely no consistency with Blue Chip. You can always try calling again to see if they tell you something different or maybe another sailing is available.  Good luck!
