New to Cruising

Our last trip we saw whales from the ship many times and seals on ice burgs as we traveled to the glaciers.  Spend your sea days up high and in front where you Can see out. Many ships have a crows nest lounge in the front  you can hang out and spend the day looking out. They also open the bow of the ship when sightseeing as possible,. Take warm clothes for the cold wind. If I was trying to save money, I would go to Mendenhall glacier and take the lift up the mountain in Juneau. As mentioned before, Skagway and Ketchikan are great towns to walk around.
