Can we bring a bottle of Champagne on board for sailaway?

Yes. It is my understanding from what I've read on Celebrity's website and here on this forum that each passenger (of legal drinking age) is allowed to bring on 2 x 750ml bottles of wine per person. So as long as that bottle of Champers isn't a magnum, you should be fine! 🙂

Sure can, as long as it is one of your 2 bottles of wine per person.  FYI - If you drink it in a lounge or restaurant and you don't have a drink package, you might be charged a corkage fee.  (No corkage fee if you open it in your cabin.  You are free to carry glasses of champagne to anywhere on the ship.)

It doesn't matter why you are bringing the champagne.  You're allowed 2 bottles of wine (which champagne is) per person.
