Trying to get the advertised rate on Celebrity Silhouette

All the way through booking it states inside stateroom is $1,849 USD yet at the end it's giving me the 4,000 dollar price. What am I doing wrong?  I did not elect to pay gratuities, any extras, or any upgrade at the time of booking.  Thanks.

What is the price breakdown?  How much are taxes and port fees?

 

If the base fare is $1849x2, that is $3698 for two.  Are the taxes and port fees $687? That does seem high. Are you going somewhere with unusually high port fees?

 

Are you trying to book as a solo and have to pay the solo supplement?

Agree.  The $1,849 per person gets you to around $7,400, and the port fees and vacation protection plan would get you to the $8,000.  On the final screen it gives the breakdown,  The first line, the cabin fare, should show the 1849 for each of you, then show all other expenses arriving at a total.

What ship?  What type of cabin?  What is the date of sailing?

I can note an $1849pp fare would be $3700.  Add in taxes and port charges of $150pp which is pretty normal and I get to $4000 as a total.
