Alghero summer 2023.

We are due to arrive in August on Sky Princess, it will be a tender port. Can someone tell me what is around the town for a day when we can just wander about. The shop excursion don't appeal. Or we might stay on board and just chill ....it is a holiday after all.

did you get anywhere with this, we are on the same cruise i think looking at the date.. Advice i have been given is just mooch around Alghero, but open to suggestions, and yes i agree the ships tours look bland..

yes we've decided it looks good just to mooch about. A couple of coffees and local gelato and a walk around the old town. Nice for more of a chilled day.

We are on the sailing on 29th July at Southampton.

Hi.

Well I can't report back as Alghero has now been cancelled. Just as we were ready to sail from Rome we had an announcement that the Mistral wind we had in Marseille would affect the tenders and it would not be safe, we would sail to Gibraltar instead arriving about 6pm and over nightingale until 4pm the following day.

Shame.
