jennraycruise Posted May 28, 2004 #3 Share Posted May 28, 2004 Belize - Is excellent. Wow such a beautiful reef great coral and huge sting rays plus tons of other fish. I would reccommend this excursion to any one any day. We loved it. To me this was the highlight of my cruise. It was amazing. But do the Shark Ray Alley Snorkel. You ride a speed boat for 45 minutes to the Reef and then snorkle for an hour and then they take you to this little cute island called San Pedro for lunch. It was great fun and the tour company they had for this was excellent. Well worth the 79$ for the excursion. Till We leave for Florida. When the party begins. Jen and Ray's First Cruise together. dan40 Posted May 28, 2004 #4 Share Posted May 28, 2004 This is kind of an apples and oranges comparison. Belize is a snorkel trip and is fine. StingRay City is a wade on a sand bar where you get overwhelmed by stingrays acting like happy puppies. They rub against you, swim all around you, and are just awesome. Both trips are good, some simularities, but very different. Need to do both, not one over the other. If only one-StingRay City CG. SuzieQK Posted May 28, 2004 #5 Share Posted May 28, 2004 I totally agree with Dan, of all of the excursions I have been on over the course of 10+ cruises, the Stingray City tour is unbelievably cool. There is no need to be afraid to touch, hold and feed the rays. Try to book the first tour of the day, that way the rays are the hungriest and once you get to the sandbar, the rays swim up to the boat like a giant black cloud thru the water. Soooo Cool!!!
