sun, sand, cocktail Posted February 28, 2023 #1 Share Posted February 28, 2023 Just received am email today that Roatan has been dropped and Bimini, Bahamas added. My NCL doesn’t show this itinerary change yet and so no shore excursions are showing yet. Does anyone have suggestions for Bimini? Is there a beach near where we will port? Is it a tender port? Thanks for your help.
kitkat343 Posted February 28, 2023 #2 Share Posted February 28, 2023 Im so sorry. Roatan is my kids favorite port (lots of animals but that might not be your focus)! Did they say why they switched it?
sun, sand, cocktail Posted February 28, 2023 Author #3 Share Posted February 28, 2023 Hi, The email says due to port congestion. But the order of ports was also changed, so I’m not sure if they were talking about Roatan or one of the others. I don’t mind as we had no plans for Roatan. I hugged a sloth last time we were there lol.
cruisinmeme Posted March 1, 2023 #4 Share Posted March 1, 2023 Rather than look at excursions on the app maybe go to main NCL web site and see if you can find something on it. we have actually tendered in roatan before (used life boats)
dcgrumpy Posted March 1, 2023 #5 Share Posted March 1, 2023 The only time I've stopped in Bimini was one Virgin Voyages cruise. It's not a tender port. Virgin has a Beach Club that is free for guests. But I think when Virgin doesn't have a ship in port other cruiselines are able to use it and you can purchase amnexcursion through the cruiseline. I have no idea what it costs. There is a small beachy area at the end of the pier that you can walk to. I saw a lot of the crew from Virgin walking there to spend the day. But it's a very small area with nothing else there.
