Currently on a call HOLD with HAL

I called Holland America about upgrading my stateroom.  Got a really nice guy almost right away.  We talked a few minutes, and then he said he was going to check on a price difference and put me on HOLD.  He said something about transferring the call, as well.   I heard a couple of clicks, and then white noise.  No holding/waiting music.  That was 37 minutes ago! 

 

Should I hang up or do you think I am still connected?  I have read where some of you have been on HOLD for over an hour.  What was your experience?  Was there only white noise, or did you hear pleasant waiting music?

I would assume that you are still connected.  Sometimes a transfer takes a long time because you are waiting for whoever you are transferred to.  If you are disconnected, there is usually a recording that says something like "if you want to make a call..."  It depends on how much patience you have.  I think I would hang up.

It's now been an hour.  I think I will hang up.  Not sure when the best time to call is.  Anyone know HAL's hours?

When I called the Upsell Desk the other day they opened at 8am PST.
