Green lane to Blue lane... WHY?

Note that the app actually has *nothing* to do with the payment system.  All purchases are handled by the physical medallion, which is simply an RFID device that is scanned when you purchase anything or get on/off the ship.  It functions *exactly* like the old cruise card method.  It has the added advantage of being able to unlock your door as you approach it in the passageway.

 

You absolutely do NOT need the app while on the ship.  Many people claim that they just lock theirs in the safe.  Personally, I like the advantage of being able to order drinks/food and have it delivered to wherever I am on the ship. (Oh...that's another benefit of the physical medallion...that's how they know where to deliver.)

In my case the most value is finding other members of out travel party. Used to wander all over the ship trying to guess where they might be.

Keep in mind that the data is stored on a server not your phone. Status is based upon what data is filled out and shows green when all of the data in complete on your phone.

 

That means any problem with your internet connection, any problem with the server, and problem with memory on your phone and issues occur. In such cases when you open the app and it tries to download the data previously completed entries might appear blank, previously green status might be blue, etc.  In such cases check the quality of your data connection and maybe try again a bit later. In most cases the data reappears and if you ordered your medallion so does the green status.
