Vegetarian options on Viking Mars cruise

We are taking a 30 day Mediterranean cruise on Viking Mars.

We are vegetarians and do not eat fish and meat. We do eat dairy products.

We know we have many options for breakfast but it seems that for lunch/dinner menu for us has extremely limited dishes in "The Restaurant" which is a sit down dining option.

Do anyone who are vegetarians and have sailed on Viking share their experience?

Is there any person on the ship we can contact ahead of time for our dietary needs this way they can stock up on different vegetarian meals for us.

Thank you!

Thank you!

We have already entered our preferences in dietary restrictions but want to make sure that they will have varied vegetarian dishes for our lunches and dinners.

Any other suggestions?

From our experience, the World Cafe buffet had many vegetarian and vegan options for lunch and dinner. I limit meat, and was able to find plenty to eat there. Manfredi’s Italian had vegetarian options too. You need a reservation, it can be booked on board or before the cruise on MVJ. We never ate at The Restaurant, but from previous cruises, the chefs are very accommodating to all diet requests. Speak to the restaurant manager on board.

Thank you all for your suggestions for our vegetarian dietary needs. We were hesitant about the 29 day Mediterranean cruise regarding our food options but now we are quite assured with your positive and helpful comments.

Looking forward to our future trip!
