Did you ever book a "guarantee" for a suite?

We are scheduled for a cruise in Sept. that has no mini suites available, and as we have been spoiled with more room in the mini, I was considering getting a suite...Has anyone ever taken a "guarantee" for one of these and did you get a better room than you had expected? I have looked at the Princess website and they all pretty much look the same. The only differences is location, and we love to feel the waves, so that won't be a problem..

What do you think experts...book the one we want or play Russian Roulette!...

We sailed with friends who booked a suite and were upgraded to the Grand Suite. I doubt that it happens often. At least we got a chance to see the GS...nice! Perchance to dream...
