Vibe Beach Club: Questions??

I have a few questions about the Vibe Beach Club:

What are the hours that it is open?

Are they different depending on the day?

Is it open when the ship is in port?

Do the bar hours differ from the times it is open?

Does the above differ from ship to ship?

Are the hours posted each day in the "Daily?"

We were on the Joy through the Panama Canal. Vibe was open 7-7. The bar was open 9-7. They opened early the day we went through the canal, 5:30 I think and had coffee and pastries for us. I’m not sure if other ships are different. The hours are not listed in the daily. There is a sheet with the hours along with the wrist bands when you pick them up. Other than the canal day all other days were the same hours. If too windy not all seating areas will be open but the bar will be.

The Vibe is best described as a private sun deck. In my experience (4 ships with Vibe), the hours are generally morning (9am-ish) to early evening (7pm-ish).  Each ship may have a slight variation based on itinerary, but it won’t be a late night location on any ship (the bartenders will be working in the theatre or somewhere else at night.)

The Vibe is open on port days-which can be the best time to visit. If you stay onboard, the Vibe will be empty.  If you get off the ship, it’s a great place to return for a hour or two before dinner.

The hours generally don’t change during a cruise and they won’t be posted in the Freestyle Daily.  The Vibe staff will tell you when it’s open.

They may be slightly flexible on closing if they are busy and the weather is great, but they definitely start to shut down and you get the vibe that the Vibe is closing. It’s not a big deal because it’s time for dinner and nighttime activities anyway. If you wouldn’t be sitting at the pool deck, you wouldn’t want to be at the Vibe-it’s a daytime place.

The Vibe is opened on embarkation day. On some ships your cabin key opens the Vibe door, on other ships you need a separate keycard that will be in your cabin. (It seems to be driven by the age of the shipboard technology.)
The wristbands are unnecessary and nobody wears them. The Vibe staff has your name on a list and when you order drinks your cabin keycard tells them you paid for the Vibe when they swipe it.

Is the Vibe handicapped accessible?  On the Escape, the Vibe is located on deck 19, but when looking at the ship maps on the NCL website, it appears the elevators stop at deck 17.

On the Escape there is one elevator that goes up to 19.  You would just have to wait for that one.

It was my one gripe of the vibe. There's an elevator that will stop at 18 and you can walk up the stairs if you're able, but the area stops in the Haven area which is not accessible if you're not in Haven.  It would take us forever to get the ONE elevator that would go to 19. It's also frustrating there's not an "18-19 only button". We'd hit up, only to get an elevator that only went to 17, and we'd see the 19 elevator head down to 5.  If the elevator is your only option up there, just be aware on sea days to pack your (very long) patience.
