Carnival Luminosa Transpacific Seattle to Sydney Sept 19, 2024

We applied for our Australian ETA and NZeTA this weekend using the phone apps. Approvals were very quick -- within just a few minutes. We each paid NZD $17 for the NZeTA and another NZD $35 for an IVL (International Visitor Levy). For Australia, it was AUD $20 each.

Paying for 22 days of internet if only getting one boarding pass isn't good. I think if there is a one day internet Cafe it costs around $20.

Jim has good suggestion about others may be willing to assist.  I am doing many B2B on the Splendor after we arrive and plan on using time in port to book boarding passes along the way.

If you want to use my cellphone while in port for this it's okay.

Plenty of cruise days to work this all out 🙂

This being my first Cruise board participant, do members usually try to meet up as a group on the ship?

If yes, could a date, time and location be decided before the cruise starts?

Thanks to both of you.  I'm planning on boarding fairly early (11:30 or 12)  have some lunch and then check out the ship.  Maybe mid-afternoon 2:30/3 might be a good time.  We don't sail until 6 pm I think. If its a clear day we can meet out on deck someplace, or in the comedy club up front if it is raining. To complete your Carnival check-in date is Sept. 3.

I'm sorry bur Check in for Platinum & Diamond is Sept. 3 others at Sept 5.  @ weeks before the cruise.  Diamond / Platinum get 16 days to check in and get boarding times.

I had to cancel this cruise as Ifell and had surgery for fractured hip.

We booked on Wednesday.  Already got our flights and both pre-cruise and post-cruise hotels arranged.  As far as I can tell, all we've got left is getting rides between our home and the airport plus getting to and from the ship in Seattle and Sydney,  No shore excursions look good to either of us.  Anyway...super excited!

We've done the "swim with the whales" in Moorea for our 25th anniversary (some years back).  It was billed as a whale and dolphin cruise, but we were forewarned to wear a swimsuit and bring snorkeling gear.  My husband and I got into the water FAST when we were told we could (fast but quietly).  Got to see humpbacks way below us.  Then the rest of the folks jumped in and scared the whales away.  It's still one of my favorite all time memories!

We're on the FB site and have done a spreadsheet for all their people too.  Deb & I are in rm 4280.  You'll probably see me wearing an orange and black Varysburg Fire & Rescue shirt on the first day.  Added you here..Welcome....Didn't know there were any spots left but do know that our casinojoannm1 injured her hip and is unable to go....See you in 11 days....

OK, proposed Meet & Greet: embarkation day, Sunset Bar at 3pm. If it's raining, try the Limelight lounge on deck 3. I'll try to bring Mardi Gras beads, but if I forget, look for the guy not wearing Mardi Gras beads.

We are boarding until 2:30...Forgot to get the final check done on time.  We're diamond so plan on boarding earlier than that anyway.  Got it...Sunset Lounge Beads or NOT:)   I'm in my orange and black Varysburg Fire/Rescue shirt and maybe Mardi Gras beads too
