Question about Adventure Ocean age groups

Hi. I know the AO has a group 3-5 and then 6-9(?). I have a 6.5 yo and a 5.5 yo. Wondering if they allow kids to move up an age group. I know that a child even a day short of age 3 cannot join in the club so I'm assuming they are pretty strict on moving kids around too?

It's probably not a huge deal if they can't be together but it would be nice. Anyone have experience with this situation? Thanks.

Well, I haven't actually been on MY cruise yet, but what I've gleaned from others is that RCI is strict but not rigid with age limits, will probably ask that the child who wants to move participate in at least one session with his/her proper age group, and will be more inclined to let the older one move down than the younger one move up. The age groups are 3-5 and 6-8. Hope that works out all right for your family...
