JulesW Posted April 11, 2023 #1 Share Posted April 11, 2023 Hello This will be our first Saga sailing though not our first cruise we've been a few over the last 26 years. Having booked via an agent I know everything goes via them and we are at full balance at the end of the month. Can one of the experienced Saga travellers tell me, whether there is hosted or social bridge onboard ? Hubby learned when he was at University, whilst I only starred just before lockdown. It's a nice way to fill in time out of the sun. Time is going to go fly by.
david05 Posted April 11, 2023 #2 Share Posted April 11, 2023 (edited) As long as there are a reasonable number of sea days, and your cruise will probably be OK, there should be hosted bridge. Saga should be able to tell you or your agent if a bridge person is expected to be on board. Usually on sea days there is a beginners class at 10 am, an intermediate class at 11 am and duplicate bridge from 2 pm to about 4 pm. The standard for the duplicate session is usually very variable ranging from a few very good pairs to others who are not so good players but enjoy their bridge. LondonLad60 Posted April 12, 2023 #3 Share Posted April 12, 2023 I was on a 14 night France and Spain cruise last August, and everything david05 says above applied on that cruise. 1

Sounds very much like we've seen on P&O some years ago.
