pamps2801 Posted April 12, 2023 #1 Share Posted April 12, 2023 Today in the news there has been Airstrikes killing over 100 people in Myanmar. Oceania Insignia is suppose to dock in Myanmar on May 10th for 2 nights. Yet, with all this Catastrophy happening in Myanmar, Oceania "Still", hasn't cancelled this port. What exactly does it take, for Oceania management to make a decision to cancel this port of call. Do they seriously have to wait till the final second to change port with what just happened there ???? The sad excuse, that Oceania is monitoring the situation, doesn't fly any more, with what happened today. This port, needs to be cancelled outright. Passengers would like to know what the alternate plans are by cancelling this port, so that the passengers can prepare alternate plans for a different port. Management should get on the ball and make a decision, find another port, or make it sea days, but don't leave passengers hanging out to dry like it's a Big Secret till the last second. Let us know. Is that so hard to do ??? Or simply let us know that this port has been cancelled, and that Oceania Management are looking at alternate plans. Oceania, you need to keep passengers informed, it's called "Customer Care". Get On The Ball Oceania ....

I can tell you a story about an Oceania cruise cancelled the day before I was going to board a plane to Buenos Aires and lots of people around here can tell similar stories. I like their product but their onshore operation left much to be desired before they axed 9% of the workforce right before Christmas 2022. It didn't make anything better...
