Cabo overnight on the Panorama

This year, I am looking at the 6 day cruise with the overnight in Cabo.  Can anyone tell me the details on that?  How does it work?  The way it looks, the first day they show 10am to 6pm and then 7am to 4pm the next day.  So it doesn't look like the evening can be spent in Cabo.  True?

While there are occasionally some ships that overnight in Cabo (Princess mostly I think), it is still very rare. Cabo is a tender port and being exposed to the Pacific makes it tough to guarantee a safe anchorage. They do sometimes close the port all together, because large swells make it unsafe to not only operate tenders, but also the possibility that the ship could drag anchor.

If the ship had to get underway during the night and the port remained closed the next day, there would be a real problem getting stranded passengers back onboard the ship.

Plus there is the financial aspect of being underway and having the casino open.

I was on the Panorama last year for the 8 day itinerary with 2 days in Cabo. They left a notice in the cabins stating that anyone who did not return to the ship on the first day would not be able to continue on the cruise.

I was on a ship that had 2 days in Cabo some years ago.  Everyone had to be back onboard at the specified time on the first day.  The ship then went out to sea overnight, the casino and shops opened, and then the ship returned to Cabo the next morning for the second day in Cabo. No one was allowed to stay in Cabo overnight at a hotel.
