neosastan Posted April 18, 2023 #1 Share Posted April 18, 2023 We made a reservation thru a third party (Inspiration Cruises) just to find out that booking directly with the cruise line is 1K cheaper for the cabin next door. Could there be a difference in benefits such as entertainment, food, etc? I don't see how, but wanted to confirm before I switched.

Since you didn't mention a particular ship/date it is not possible to totally answer your question. However, taking a quick look at their web site you are purchasing from them the cruise plus some additional entertainment and enrichment seminars available only to those booked thru that group. It is also possible that the have a full ship charter and you would not be able to book that particular cruise from anyone else.
Nang Posted April 18, 2023 #3 Share Posted April 18, 2023 I always check before booking what I am getting from my travel agent and what I would get dealing directly with HAL. My agent has in several cases suggested I do not book the package his company is promoting but to get him to just book the cruise and air separately. That is clearly "code" for he knows it is not a good deal for me. If you want to know what extras you might get with Inspirations just ask them to spell them out. You can't get reliable confirmation here, talk to Inspirations.
