cincicouple Posted May 9, 2023 #1 Share Posted May 9, 2023 We are leaving on the May 14 cruise and are wondering if we need to purchase the early boarding for $22. Once you check in is the weight long to board? Is it worth it or should I save my money?
Rothko1 Posted May 9, 2023 #2 Share Posted May 9, 2023 I suppose it depends on the opportunity costs of the $22.
KINGBOBOFTHENORTH Posted May 10, 2023 #3 Share Posted May 10, 2023 The time that boarding begins is dependent on how many passengers were on the cruise prior to yours. The busier it was, the later the new boarding begins because there are more rooms to clean. Nonetheless, boarding is not very late. When they announce boarding, those nearest the gangway can more quickly get in the boarding queue. To me, it's not worth $22 extra.
Rothko1 Posted May 10, 2023 #4 Share Posted May 10, 2023 I'd say spend the $22 on a good hardcover book and relax and read while everyone else lines up like cattle to board. 🙂
Brighton Line Posted May 11, 2023 #5 Share Posted May 11, 2023 This isn't Wonder OTS, even if boarding after a weekend cruise the MAX is 1,608 people have to get off before you board and only 658 cabins to clean.
pr8hd Posted May 17, 2023 #6 Share Posted May 17, 2023 Save your time, money and sanity. Get to the port at 1300, be checked in and onboard by 1330. No need sitting around in a crowded, stuffy waiting area if you don't have to.
