YankeePenny Posted May 10, 2023 #1 Share Posted May 10, 2023 Signed up last week for Dream cruise in less than 45 days. SO EXCITED ! Never been on Carnival. Since we will spend a few days before in Galveston, at place where I can do laundry, my question is: Can I bring the remaining laundry detergent pods from little bag/bucket on board to do laundry with? and share with others? The smaller bags of pods usually gives 10-20. Or will they not allow them to be packed in bags? also- is Dream a ship that uses Quarters? Thanks- Aint been away for over 3 years and just counting the days......
deelightfull Posted May 10, 2023 #2 Share Posted May 10, 2023 (edited) Ships aren't planes, you can bring any liquid you want, in any amount, as long as you can't drink it. 😆 So being as much detergent on board as you want, in little pods or otherwise. As for whether the laundry is coin or card on the Dream, I couldn't tell you. 🤷 Somebody who knows will chime in I'm sure. mz-s Posted May 10, 2023 #3 Share Posted May 10, 2023 https://help.carnival.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1134/~/laundry-service You can bring on tide pods, sure. I would have them in my carry-on, just so they don't burst in the checked bags (they don't treat checked bags too kindly). But there are no restrictions about them being in your checked bag. Rare notscb Posted May 11, 2023 #4 Share Posted May 11, 2023 If I remember right, the laundry was done via seapass card and didn't have a physical money option. Bring as much detergent as you want, although I'd stay away from pods if you're flying and want them to arrive in the same condition they started in. groundloop Posted May 11, 2023 #5 Share Posted May 11, 2023 We've used the laundromat on several Carnival ships and it's always been paid for with the Sign-and-Sail card. We haven't used the laundry facilities on Dream but I see no reason why they wouldn't be the same as all the others.
simplelife Posted May 16, 2023 #6 Share Posted May 16, 2023 I always bring laundry pods onboard, I put them in a little plastic container with a lid in case they leak
