stabilizers on Galaxy??

It might have them as others have said..but it was ROCKING when we went but then again we where in rough water; but not as rough as the Elation last year when we where in Hurricane Dennis. The Galaxy seemed to be worse then what we where in on the Elation! We would sail on her again though!

Yes. Used throughout the cruise.

 

No, they are not. Stablilizers have an adverse affect on fuel consumption as they cause increased drag and therefore, their use is very limited.

 

Crew members are always shocked when they hear the stabilizers have been deployed. They actually HEAR the deployment from their cabins.

Stabilizers have been used on cruise ships for eons! They go all the way back to the 70's! Ancient history!

 

Don't spread this around, but the Galaxy is not "old" She is in her 10th year. That is far from old.
