BREAL Posted March 13, 2006 #1 Share Posted March 13, 2006 We are on Voyager just across from the front elevator above the promenade cafe in a balcony room? THanks!!!!
rjg41 Posted March 13, 2006 #2 Share Posted March 13, 2006 We always book rooms adjacent to the mid-ship elevators. Never have a problem.
Schplinky Posted March 14, 2006 #3 Share Posted March 14, 2006 They do a good job of constructing the elevator waiting areas so the hallways don't get a lot of noise.
superjerryw Posted March 14, 2006 #4 Share Posted March 14, 2006 There shouldn't be any noise problem. The elevators are actually in a small alcove so if anyone is talking you would not be likely to hear them anyway. The only potential noise problem is that the closer you are to the elevator the more foot traffic there will be in the corridor from people going to and from the elevators. Except for dinner time when everyone is going to the same place all at once it should not really be an issue. I've had cabins near the elevators before and didn't notice any signficant increase in noise.
MiniMom57 Posted March 14, 2006 #5 Share Posted March 14, 2006 We had a similar cabin on Explorer and LOVED it!! We hope to book a cabin in that area on Adventure for next Spring. You are steps away from the Promenade (which is where the best cookies are, 24 hr snacks [at least it was on Explorer], and a couple of bars....as well as the shops). Plus, you are near the balcony that overlooks the Promenda, so you can people-watch and see the parades and entertainers.
