rondl1 Posted May 25, 2023 #1 Share Posted May 25, 2023 Will be traveling on the Joy in June. Do they offer No Sugar Added desserts and if so, how are they?
Sherrica Posted May 25, 2023 #2 Share Posted May 25, 2023 In my experience the main dining room offers one no sugar added dessert each night. On the Encore in January I felt that they had stepped it up a bit and the NSA desserts were better than before (I've been limiting sugar since 2018, so 6 NCL cruises). It's worth trying at least.
Rare ColeThornton Posted May 25, 2023 #3 Share Posted May 25, 2023 Yes, there are sugarless desserts available. I found them to be mostly not only sugarless but tasteless. Looked nice though.

Looked nice though. To be fair, most of their sugary MDR and buffet desserts were tasteless too. 😅
MagnoliaBlossom Posted May 26, 2023 #5 Share Posted May 26, 2023 (edited) As said above, there is usually one NSA dessert in the MDR. In the buffet there is an area with several offering that are NSA. Usually they seem to be apple pie, and puddings of different sorts, and a horrid flourless chocolate cake (aka, the brown brick). I occasionally get the apple pie, which isn’t bad' but usually go with fruit or the cheese tray. Edited May 26, 2023 by MagnoliaBlossom
jrlamour Posted May 26, 2023 #6 Share Posted May 26, 2023 Yes to the no sugar added deserts, but I found them very bland and tasteless.
itsnotjustme Posted May 26, 2023 #7 Share Posted May 26, 2023 I found some decent. I will avoid the cheesecake. I found it rubbery.
