Question- Princess Visa points

I have enough points on my Princess Visa Card to get $100 gift card. I want to use it as OBC. How does that work?  Can my CVP have access to add it?  Do they send an actual gift card and then quest services adds it to the onboard account?  

 

I'm thinking about paying off my next cruise to get the points and then pay the card off from my savings to get the point value.  How long does it take for the points to become available to use?

 

Anyone familiar with this??
